Both the 10K and 5K are loop courses primarily run on fire trails and include sections of easy rolling hills and flats.
Both courses are included within the park -- there is no street running or street crossing. Total elevation gain for the 5K is about 200 feet and about 250 for the 10K.
Aid stations will be stocked with water, sports drink, fruit, candy, sports gels and other snacks (pumpkin pie?).
The 5K will have 1 aid station.
The 10K will have 3 aid stations.
The courses will be clearly marked with different colored ribbons for each distance. Course descriptions for each distance and a copy of the course map will be available on race morning.
In addition to the port-a-potties at the start/finish area, there are five more locations on the 10K course and three on the 5K course.
