BRAZEN RACING
ULTRA-HALF SERIES

on the ridge

All half marathon runners are invited to participate in the Brazen Ultra Half Series.

Our toughest half marathons measure at least a little (and sometime more than just a little) longer than 13.1 miles. What really makes them "ultra", however is the serious ascents and descents and variety of tough trails you have to run to finish them. While flat half marathons are always a challenge, these "ultra-half-marathons" take it to another level!

HOW THE SERIES WORKS

To be a series finisher, you must run at least four of the nine races in the series, plus the Rocky Ridge Half Marathon.

The Rocky Ridge Half Marathon (October 20th) will be the Brazen Racing Ultra-Half Series Finale.

WHAT YOU GET FOR PARTICIPATING

All finishers will receive a special Brazen Racing Ultra-Half Series die-cast finisher coaster.

WHAT YOU GET FOR WINNINGLon

The 2012 prizes for first through third (male and female) are:

1st Place: $1,000

2nd Place: $500

3rd Place: $250

RACES OF THE BRAZEN RACING ULTRA-HALF SERIES

We encourage you to run them all, but you only need to run four of these:

Brazen New Year Half Marathon: 1/1

Badger Cove Half Marathon: 3/17

Lagoon Valley Half Marathon (Brazen Goonies): 3/31

single track

Diablo Trails Challenge Half Marathon: 4/21

Wildcat Half Marathon: 5/19

TrailQuake 2011 Half Marathon: 6/16

Bad Bass Half Marathon: 7/28

Bear Creek Half Marathon: 8/18

Drag-N-Fly Half Marathon: 9/8

...plus the Series Finale:

Rocky Ridge Half Marathon: 10/20

HOW THE SERIES IS SCORED

Because some courses are faster than others, the cumulative series winner will be that runner with the lowest "time back" for their four best races, plus the Rocky Ridge Half Marathon. "Time back" is the amount of time a runner is behind the overall male or female winner. The lower the total amount of time, the higher the runner will rank. The winner of each race will have the lowest "time back" for that race, which is 0.

SERIES RESULTS AND STANDINGS

Standings will be posted after after the first 4 races in the series have taken place. Those standings and prior series results can be found on the standings page.

RULES

All runners should read and understand the race rules.
